THE KGMNS_M SERIES IS BASED ON A STANDARDISED MODULAR PLATFORM WITH A 2 AXLE BASE MOTORISED WAGON AND MULTIPLE OUTFITTINGS, TO RAPILY ADAPT TO DIFFERENT OPERATIONAL NEEDS: A MULTIFUNCTIONAL SOLUTION WITH ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES
The Kgmns_M is a railway vehicle with its own traction, used to transport containers and equipment for the construction and maintenance of railway infrastructure. It has a locking device to fix containers, also used as block interfaces between the wagon and the outfittings available.
The Kgmns_M can circulate on railways:
- as part of a train, at a maximum speed of 100 km/h.
- during track possession under conditions in force.
- in working phase as self-propelled vehicle at a maximum speed of 15 km/h.
AN AVANT-GARDE BRAKING SYSTEM
Automatic weighing valves guarantee optimal braking for any type of load.
EXTREMELY VERSATILE
A wide range of outfittings for wagon use in many activities at the same work site, for both infrastructure building and maintenance.
OPTIMISED COSTS
A single wagon performs the functions of many different ones.
MORE EFFICIENT LOGISTICS
Only transport the outfitting needed from one site to another via road, without moving the whole wagon.
STANDARDISED COMPONENTS
Standard spare parts (for traction-buffing gears, bogies, suspension and braking systems) can meet the needs of an entire fleet of vehicles: no need for different spare parts for each type of wagon.
MAINTENANCE IN OPERATIONAL CONTINUITY
The outfitting can still be used, by installing it on another platform while the wagon is being serviced. The wagon can also continue to be used while maintenance and re-fitting takes place off-line.
The Kgmns_M wagon is authorised for commissioning on Italian National Railway Infrastructures by the Italian National Railway Safety Authority (ANSF). Kgmns_M can circulate without limitations as part of a train at a speed of 100 km/h on the whole Italian railway network.
The Kgmns is registered with the RUMO (The Italian Registry of Work Vehicles) and can therefore be used for the construction and maintenance of railway infrastructures.
When a vehicle is delivered, a team of specialised technicians will carry out on-site tests to ensure the machine and all its parts work perfectly.
Training can also be provided on correct function and basic maintenance for staff who will use the machine.
A team of skilled technicians, with a fully-equipped mobile workshop, offer rapid, effective service to solve any problem or malfunction.
On request, SRT vehicles can be equipped with a remote monitoring system. This self-powered data transmission system is connected to sensors on the vehicle and monitors the main operating parameters of the machine:
- position and speed
- (maximum) braking efficiency
- component position and number of movements
- engine conditions
- operator/driver identification
The advantages and benefits of a remote monitoring system
- A low-cost way of quickly obtaining information on the state of the vehicle, vital for reducing maintenance time and cost.
- Knowing the distance the vehicle has travelled, to determine wear and tear on mechanical parts
- Discovering brake or engine malfunctions
- Always knowing who is driving the vehicle, to see if there is any correlation between malfunctions and staff conduct
- Recording machine function parameters to obtain concrete data for future maintenance schedules
